Capa joined Magnum, the collective his brother Robert had founded, in 1954. He travelled to the Soviet Union in 1958, creating a series of photographs that provide a snapshot of life in Soviet Russia, ranging from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy to Russian Orthodox monks.
